I’m going on holiday for a fortnight, to escape from the southern winter a bit. Coincidentally, it’s an opportune time to take a break, since this is our 1,700th post. Over ten and a half years, that amounts to a little under 1.2 million words. Some of them at least, I think, are quite good.
I plan to continue blogging, but there are other projects I want to work on, so posts when I get back might be a bit less frequent or less polished, and might feature more extensive quotation from others (or even from myself). Some of the suggestions I made a while back for the 1,400th post still apply.
So thanks to everyone for sticking with us this far. Please keep reading and commenting, bring your friends along as well, and we’ll continue our collective quest to understand this wonderful but unpredictable world.
